Didnt see any reviews and needed a spot welder so decided to guinea pig.Pros.-The welds are pretty much flawless-copper leads are good-unit is able to be opened.Cons-leads are a bit short so using the unit isba bit awkward. I ended up tucking the unit under my arm so i could hold the leads with 2 hands.-no power settings in device.-no instrunctions whatsoever. A long press makes a constant beeping noise. Not sure what it does. However all things considered, unit works right out if the box in a nice form factor at a fraction of the cost of a table top unit. Would recommend.Have only used it one day, package arrived charged it for about 3 hours simply hit the power button and started spot welding, I did bump power level up to 3 that seems to work best for the. 10mm strips that came with it. As others have mentioned my only knock on this welder is the short cables only about 8.5 inches long I will probably be adding some longer cables in the future, but I definitely would reccomend this product I am happy with it so farThis is a decent little spot welder for the price. It does pretty much what I expected - you charge it up and then you can do some spot welds of thin metal. It took several attempts to get the welds to hold so this is not something to try to use in a production environment. For batteries, this is likely fine at highest power. (I was hoping I could spot weld thermal switches, which are too thick.)The instructions are only in Chinese, but Google Translate easily decoded them. The instructions are also very simple and easy, so the Google translation is not at all a barrier.Directions in English would be helpful! Luckily i can interpret Mandarin Chinese and have some spot welding experience. Electrodes could use more insulation and longer leads. Otherwise, worked as expectedRight off the bat, no English manual. Don't want to play ball with the rest of the world? Fine, you get down voted every single time. But in top of that, as expected with every Chinese made products, this one looks like it was used already. Somebody scratched it and they actually tried to hide it with a permanent marker. (Photo) Just the complete absence of ethics to be expected from Chinese manufacturers and the retailers who sell their products. I have not tested it yet, but I have a feeling it's probably not going to work or have some sort of issue. Oh well, I guess I'll have to return it.Charged in about 4 hours as noted in the description. Simple usage and good solid welds on 0.1mm thick nickel strips using level 2 power setting. Product is well built and time will tell how durable it is.I tried several variants of cheap spot welders, and this is the only one that wasn't dead on arrival. It can't really handle .15mm material, but the .1mm nickel that comes with it welds great. The power level adjustment doesn't seem to make a difference.
