OPTIONAL STEP 2: Scrub Lightly To work on stubborn hard water spots, lightly scrub the surface with a soft polishing pad or scuff pad. STEP 3: Wipe Off Simply wipe off with a clean damp towel. If aluminum is intact, Spot Solver can be applied directly to the affected area, scrubbed and wiped off. If aluminum is damaged and chalky, we do not recommend spraying Spot Solver directly on the boat. Instead, spray the product onto a towel first, wipe the surface, then wipe it off with another damp towel, beginning with a spot test.
